PINK CHAIR PROJECT

This is the story about my current project - painting a pink plastic Adirondack chair. The chair represents my mother, Carolyn Elizabeth Pedersen Schulte, who passed on June 5th, 2011 and loved this bright color pink. She was proud of me as an artist and would love what I am doing. I take the chair to favorite places of hers and to places or situations I know she would have liked. It is a way for me to grieve and to celebrate her life. The work, which has grown to 22 pieces, with more coming soon, touches people deeply. The accompanying stories help the viewers understand the story behind each and I will be putting them together in a book. Follow my blog for the most frequent updates on the project:

Sales of Originals:

All paintings are available for a delayed sale. The Pink Chair Project will be traveling for one to two years, with its first stop being the Cancer Center at Massachusetts General Hospital , where it will stay for 4 months. In August, the show will move to Cushing, Maine, for a weekend showing August 10-12, 2012 as part of their their art in the barn exhibit program. Because I do not want to compromise the exhibit and all the good it can do, I will keep all paintings together. Paintings can be reserved for sale for a 10% non refundable deposit. I am open to ideas for exhibit sites within a day's drive of Boston.

A Giclee Print is a limited edition, museum quality print which has been professionally prepared with archival inks and paper or canvas. The image is proofed by the artist to insure the highest integrity of color match with the original painting. Each canvas print is signed on the back and paper prints are signed under the image, and both will give the edition number. A card is provided with the artist signature, edition information and information about the original painting.

Giclees are not made in the exact size as the original or larger than the original in order to protect the buyer of the original. A range of sizes is offered to provide different price points. Proportional sizes not listed may be ordered. Please e-mail or call Lynne to inquire about alternate sizes.

Lynne will donate a portion of all profit from sales of prints or originals to organizations that support the families of childhood cancer victims.

Individual Giclee's are custom ordered by Lynne after your order is placed. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. If a quicker delivery is needed, please call or e-mail Lynne ASAP.
