Lynne Schulte
Mixed Media pieces are what Lynne calls "Inside Work". When the weather doesn't allow work outdoors, she creates a series of pieces that often, but not always, carry meaning with poetry or phrases partially hidden. The titles are sometimes descriptive but also sometimes cryptic, allowing the viewer to interperet the image. Sometimes a poem will be in her mind when she starts, but often the title is something the artwork "tells her" after it is completed. Lynne has many options for media at hand when she does these pieces - many types of paints, metallics, a wide range of interesting papers to collage, prismacolor pencil, markers and chalk pastel. The process is an open ended search to find the developing image.
